Windsurf tops SWE-1 Series AI models capable of developing full operating programs

Windsurf, an artificial intelligence platform (AI) without a symbol or “coding”, has released a series of artificial intelligence models on Thursday. These models, called SWE-1, focus on complex software engineering tasks, not just writing software instructions. The SWE-1, 1-Lite and Swe-1-MINI series includes the SWE-1-Lite and Swe-1-MINI series, where each form is designed for specific use cases. Lite and Mini versions are available for all Windsurf users, while the Frontier Swe-1 model is available only for subscribers. The company has not yet revealed the prices and availability of the border coding model.

Windsurf reveals new AI models for software software

The California -based artificial intelligence company detailed the new series of artificial intelligence models in A. Blog post. SWE-1 is designed to address the tasks and complex responsibilities of humans, not just writing and editing software. The company says that although coding models improved, their range has not increased significantly.

Most models are still trained to produce a symbol that collects and passes unit tests, but this only represents a small part of what software engineers do. The company added that the next generation of coding models should be able to work through stations stations, explain the user’s notes and deal with tasks over a longer period.

Windsurf claims that the Swe-1 series is a step in this direction. The border model is said to work at the Claude 3.5 Sonite level and comes with features such as calling tools and thinking. Windsurf claimed that the artificial intelligence model will be cheaper than the human model.

On the other hand, SWE-1-Lite is a lightweight model that can perform daily coding tasks. The company said it is available for unlimited use. Likewise, SWE-1-MINI is a low-spread model, which is more appropriate to tasks in actual time. Both are available to all users, including those on the free level.

Windsurf said that SWE-1 is the company’s first attempt in a border model that can be compared to a human software engineer. As a result, the standards of the model were not as high as the company expected. However, it is now planning to develop the Swe family more.
