NYAN Heroes, a free -playing game that was developed on Solana Blockchain, is officially closed, according to a statement made by Developer Studio 9 Lives Interactive. The studio indicated the inability to secure the money needed to complete the game.
NYAN HEROES, which recently completed the fourth game test at the Epic Games, hosted the largest Airdrop “Play-To-Earn” event on Solana Blockchain. The full version of the game has been planned to be released next winter.
The Overwatch PC game launched the first test before Alpha in March 2024 and reached more than a million players in four rounds of tests, with more than 250,000 players inserted the game at the Epic Games and Steam store.
However, despite this success and the publishers’ talks, new investment searches and grants and acquisitions were mentioned, but the development team stated that they were unable to find the capital needed to complete the project. The statement on the social media platform X (previously Twitter) said: “This was not the result that we were hoping. The game industry was going through a difficult time at the present time, and Nayan’s heroes had to close their doors.”
9, CEO of Interactive Max Fu said in an email statement that there is still hope for the future of the game, but they do not expect a tangible solution in the short term. “It was a few difficult months. We are currently in negotiations on the transfer of studio and/or intellectual property. However, it may take a long time until a decision is completed,” said Fu.
The Blockchain components of the Nyan Token game included Solana and Cat Nfts, which were promoted in 2021. This NFTS was released a long time before playing the game, but was not required to play the game.
Following the news closing of the game, NYAN TOKEN achieved great success in the market. The value of the distinctive symbol decreased by approximately 40 % during the day, leading to a decrease in its market value to less than a million dollars.
