Louisiana state police arrested a 59 -year -old woman on charges of helping 10 prisoners leaving the Orleans diocese prison last week, and the third woman who was arrested with regard to the help of escape.
Louisiana state police said in a statement on Thursday night that Kony Widden, 59, was arrested and charged with one charges being attached after the fact that the “fleeing” in the May 16 incident.
She was booked at the St. Tamani Center for Reform, and it is not clear whether she had kept a lawyer.
Police said that until now, five fugitives were found and arrested while five “imperceptible”.
Two other women, Courtney Harris and Corvantai Babtest, were arrested, and they were accused on Wednesday of claiming that they were accessories after the fact that the prison aid.
Steling Williams was arrested, and he was charged on Tuesday of allegedly cutting water supply in prison cells so that prisoners can remove the toilet and escape through a hole behind him.
The police said that its investigations found that Widin was in a telephone conversation with one of the fugitives who were still, Jermin Donald, before and after the escape.
“Moreover, the investigators decided that after escaping, Weeden provided money to Donald through the cell phone application,” the police said.
Each of the three women face up to five years in prison if they are convicted.
Police said that officers from the local, state and federal agencies “will continue to follow up on all progress until there are the remaining fugitives”, as the search for missing men can extend to its second week.
“Those who choose to help or hide these individuals violate the law and will be responsible,” the police statement added.
Anyone with information about the location of the fugitives is urged to contact the Federal Investigation Office or Crimestoppers or Louisiana state police. For information that leads to arrests, there are combined rewards of $ 20,000.
