One of the previous software engineer in Google was arrested to steal confidential information from the company and help two Chinese companies.
Linwei Ding, 38, was arrested at his home in Newark, California, and has four charges of stealing commercial secrets. Each of these four charges holds a potential prison for up to ten years and a fine of $ 250,000.
He claims that Ding participated in secret details from the Google network to his account and exploited it while helping two companies headquarters in Beijing in the artificial intelligence sector. Moreover, Ding has been accused of stealing more than 500 registered files.

He said American Public Prosecutor Merik Garland.
He added,
We will strongly protect the sensitive techniques developed in America from falling into the hands of those who should not have.
According to the fees, Ding joined Google in 2019 and participated in a project related to the development of the software for those used in Google’s super computing centers. Ding was accused of transferring the information classified into a self -owned cloud account between May 2022 and 2023.
Theft includes files containing information on Google devices and the program used by Google to train artificial intelligence models through machine learning.
The charge states that Ding was contacted by the CEO of Starize Tech, where he was offered the position of chief technology employee. Not only that, as Ding founded his China -based company and announced that it is its CEO.
Law enforcement leaders at the US Department of Justice have expressed concern about the spying of Chinese agencies and companies that may harm the security of the nation. Moreover, the use of artificial intelligence techniques cannot be neglected to negatively affect the United States.
