Jefferson City, Mo.
The state’s Supreme Court ruled that the provincial judge applied the wrong criterion in the rulings in December and February allowed abortion to appeal in the state. Almost all abortion operations were stopped in light of the prohibition of the income into force after the US Supreme Court canceled the ROE V. Wade in 2022.
In the two -page ruling on Tuesday, the court ordered Judge Jerry Zhang to evacuate her previous orders and reassess the case using the standards set by the court. Zhang ruled that she had allowed abortion to resume significantly because defenders are likely to prevail in the case. The Supreme Court said it should first consider whether there are damages to allowing abortion to appeal.
In its petition submitted to the state’s Supreme Court in March, the state confirmed that family planning did not prove enough that women had been harmed without temporary blocs over large areas of laws and regulations regarding abortion services and service providers. On the contrary, the state said that the Zhang decisions left the abortion facilities “non -organized” and women with “no guarantee of health and safety.”
Among the regulations that were put in wait, the hygiene standards were set for abortion facilities and require doctors who abort the abortion to obtain privileges in certain types of hospitals that are located 30 miles (48 km) or 15 minutes from the place where abortion is provided.
“Today’s decision by the Supreme Court in Missouri is a victory for women and children and sends a clear message – abortion providers must comply with the state law regarding basic safety and health requirements,” said the Prosecutor of Missouri Andrew Billy.
The planned paternity confirms that these restrictions were specifically targeted to make it difficult to reach miscarriage.
However, the organization – which has the only abortion clinics in the state – has immediately started contacting patients to cancel abortion dates in Missouri clinics in Colombia and Kondas City, according to Emily Wales, President and CEO of Planthood Great Plains.
Wales said he was a familiar but disappointing situation for the organization.
“We have had to contact patients in Missouri previously and say that a date for care has been set, and your date is now being canceled due to political intervention and new restrictions, and the state is bypassed by the state,” she said. “To be in this situation again, after a Missouri people voted to ensure that miscarriage is up, it is frustrated.”
Wales said that family planning was hoping to return to the court soon.
Sam Life Missouri, director of the Life Missouri campaign, said he was “very excited” by the Supreme Court order.
“This means that our life -supporting laws, which include many health and safety protection, will remain in place.” “How long will we have to see.”
