London – The meeting between the American delegation headed by Foreign Minister Marco Rubio, Ukraine and Russia in Türkiye is scheduled to be held on Friday, after a day of confusion on Thursday.
However, absenteeism from the talks is Ukrainian President Voludimir Zelinski, who is in Albania, and Russian President Putin, in Moscow, as delegates from the United States, Ukraine and Turkey.
President Trump said on Friday morning in Abu Dhabi that he wants to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin “as soon as we can prepare him” to negotiate the end of the war in Ukraine
“We’ll do that,” Trump said. “I really think it is time for us to do this,” he said.
Trump suggested that “within two or three weeks” could be the world “a safer place.”

“I will tell you that the world is a safe place at the present time, and I think it is within two or three weeks, we can be a safer place,” Trump said. “We will deal with some situations here with some very dangerous situations. We look at Gaza, and we have to take care of them. Many people are starving. Many people. There are many bad things.”
“We appreciate President Trump’s real efforts to end the war and stop killing. Ukraine itself is the country that wants peace more than anyone.”
“We will do it,” Trump said of Ukraine negotiations. “Five thousand young people are killed every week on average, and we will accomplish it.”
