Microsoft highlighted the AI and Agentic Web dealers at the annual Build Developer conference in Seattle, Washington.
The company presented a vision for an “open web network” that allows artificial intelligence agents to make decisions and complete tasks on behalf of users and institutions. To encourage this, Microsoft has detailed its support for the McP Form Protocol (MCP) along with an open project called NLWB, which is similar to Microsoft to HTML but for agents.
MCP is Open standard This enables developers to build secure bilateral contacts between data sources and artificial intelligence tools. Microsoft now supports MCP through its platforms and frameworks, and the company has joined the MCP Steering Committee.
Microsoft detailed two contributions to MCP. The first is updated permission specifications that allow people to use the current reliable login methods to give agents access to data and services. The second contribution is the design of the MCP server.
Besides MCP support, Microsoft has announced the Open WEB Open (NL) project, which the company believes can play a “similar role for HTML for the Agentic Web”.
Microsoft’s goal with NLWB is making it easier and fastest way to convert the website to the AI app. NLWB web sites can provide a “conversation interface” so that users can interact with the web content in a “semantic” way.
Moreover, NLWB’s end points also act as MCP servers, allowing web sites to make the content to be discovered and artificial intelligence agents can be accessed. Read our separate post on how NLWB works to learn more.
Windows also gets some improvements. Microsoft detailed Windows Ai Foundry, which is the development of Copilot. AI Foundry is a unified platform to support artificial intelligence developers with capabilities such as Windows ML, Foundry Local and AI AI ready to use supported by the integrated Windows models available on PCS Copilot Pcs.
Microsoft has also announced its original support for MCP in Windows 11 and plans to open the Linux (WSS). The company offers interfaces for semantic search applications that developers can benefit from to make strong new search features that work on the device.
Other prominent ads include updates for coding agents on GitHub, COPILOT, studio and more.
GitHub gets an uninterrupted coding agent, and Microsoft updates GitHub models with claims management, institutions control and more control items. In addition, the Github Copilot Chat company in Vs Code.
Microsoft 365 Copilot will allow companies to use their data, workflow and operations to train models and create agents with low required coding. These factors can deal with the tasks of the field within the boundaries of the Microsoft 365 service. Moreover, Copilot Studio will allow multi -agent format, linking multiple factors together to deal with the most complex tasks.
