Weeks after the City of Chicago and Jossi Smollet announced a settlement to resolve their years of legal battle regarding the 2019 actor’s claim that he was a victim of hatred, Smolit took social media to reveal the terms of the agreement.

Smolite, a black and gay, told the first time the crime of hatred against him in January 2019, claiming that two men faced him with racist and homosexual insults, he drew a rope around his neck and poured whitening on him.
However, police officials and city officials later said he had organized the crime of hatred in the trick against himself. The city’s claim was accused of Smallite submitting a false report to the police on January 29, 2019, saying that he knew his attackers and attack plans, and sought 130,000 dollars at the expenditures spent on the police investigation.
Smollett was shown, and he denies that he has organized the attack.
The brothers Olabingo and Abembola Osuundoiro, who worked on the “Empire” group, said that they had been pushed by Smolit to organize the crime of hatred and witnessed against the actor during his trial.
Smolite was convicted of five charges related to uncontrolled behavior in December 2021, and he was sentenced to 150 days and 30 months in prison in March 2022, but the Illinois Supreme Court canceled the conviction in November 2024 due to the prosecution cases.
The state’s Supreme Court ruled that the Smollett was not supposed to be charged first after entering an unexpected agreement with the Cook County Lawyer Office.
