Harvard University filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration on Friday, a day after the federal government said it would prohibit the university’s oldest ability to register foreign students.
In a complaint with a local American court in Massachusetts, Harvard argues that the administration’s efforts to prevent foreign students from enrollment violates the rights of the first amendment to the university and that it will significantly change its ability to work.
“With a stroke, the government has sought to erase a quarter of the Student Student Authority at Harvard University, and international students who contribute greatly to the university and its mission,” the complaint said.
On Thursday, the administration ended the certificate of student visitors and the stock exchange at Harvard University, forcing foreign students at the university, almost a quarter of the Student Authority, either to move to alternative universities or lose their legal status.
In the complaint, Harvard University accuses the government of “the clear revenge of Harvard University, which exercises its first rights to amend the control of Harvard’s governance and its curricula and” ideology “of faculty and students.
The university refused to comply with comprehensive reforms from the administration’s work team to combat anti -Semitism last month, which included those who could recognize or employ Harvard, and to expose faculty members in the government’s review.
Alan M. “We condemn this illegal and unjustified work.”. “It presents the future of thousands of students and scientists throughout Harvard and works as a warning to countless others in colleges and universities throughout the country who came to America to follow up their education and achieve their dreams.”
