Google expands an artificial intelligence overview of more than 200 countries as well as expanding support for more languages. The company announced during the keynote I/O 2025 developer conference held in California on Tuesday. Through this update, the research tool that works for Amnesty International will be now available in Arabic, Chinese, Malay, Urdu and more languages, allowing users to see the text in local languages for both countries and get a quick overview of the topic.
Expanding an overview of artificial intelligence
Google has announced the expansion of an artificial intelligence overview Blog post. AI will be now available in more than 200 countries and more than 40 languages. It adds support to Arabic, Chinese, Malay, and Urdu, which joins the current language options such as English, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish.
According to Mountain View technology giant, more users can benefit from the feature of Amnesty International to ask questions, find information quickly, and explore related websites in Google Search Results. It enables them to see clips containing a brief overview of the topic they searched for, as well as external links for more information. It enhances the GEMINI Grand Language model (LLM) to fulfill the search quotes with the use of multi -step thinking capabilities.
It is worth noting that an artificial intelligence overview was announced for the first time in the general arrival in Google I/O 2024, and it was initially provided by the United States through search laboratories. Since its public offering and expansion of more areas in recent months, the feature has seen a 10 percent increase in Google’s use to obtain specific inquiries showing an overview of artificial intelligence. According to Google, the United States and India have been some of its largest markets so far.
In addition to expanding an artificial intelligence overview, the company is also making changes on LLM that operates the feature. Starting this week, a dedicated version of Gemini 2.5 will run an artificial intelligence overview of Google Search in the United States. Google says it’s the most intelligent artificial intelligence model so far and will help address more complex inquiries and questions. However, the company still recommends caution because artificial intelligence responses may include errors.
