In Google I/O 2025, the company announced that Live will come to Google Meet.
Available to subscribers, Google Meet will translate English into Spanish Live for its users. One person will speak English. Artificial intelligence will translate live into Spanish and vice versa. The explanatory show that we saw as if Amnesty International also tried to match the user’s voice, which is a nice touch.
Google has also announced a beam in I/O, using technology from Project Starline. Beam will allow you to have 3D conversations in Google Meet and will get a Google Live translation function.
Google Live Translate is currently available in English only to the Spanish language, but it will soon be available in more languages. It will also be available to institutional customers later this year.
