Columbia University has been martyred for violating the Federal Civil Rights Law by “acting with deliberate indifference to student harassment and student of Jewish students” since the terrorist attack on October 7, 2023 on Israel.
This is the latest measure of the Trump administration against prominent universities. In its announcement, the government said that the notice, from both HHS and the Ministry of Education, “expresses widespread realistic results that extend for more than 19 months in which the university has been constantly failed to protect Jewish students.” “The results are based on the information and documents obtained during the investigation, including witness interviews; examination of written policies and procedures; reliable media reports that capture anti -Semitic incidents and events at the University of Colombia; and reports of the Colombia University’s work group on anti -Smot.”
“The results are carefully documented that the Jewish students of the hostile environment at Columbia University had to carry more than 19 months, which led to the disruption of their education, safety and well -being,” said Anthony Archiv, the Civil Rights Office at HHS. “We encourage Colombia to work with us to reach an agreement that reflects meaningful changes that really protect Jewish students.

Colombia University has not publicly responded to these allegations by the federal government.
In March, the university agreed to the list of demands from the Trump administration after it canceled a $ 400 million grant and contracts to the institution because of “the continued progress in the face of the continuous harassment of Jewish students,” according to a statement issued by the Trump administration in that month.
“Among them was practicing more strict controls on the university’s Middle Eastern Studies Department and examining campus activities since the anniversary of Hamas’s attack on Israel.
