The ruling is scheduled to be delivered in the largest case of sexual assault on children in France on Wednesday, which led to the end of the distinguished trial for three months.
Prosecutors said that former surgeon Joel Le Skorank, 74, is facing up to 20 years of sexual assault on 299 victims over three decades, most of them girls and boys who were 11 years old. Many of them have been assaulted during the effects of anesthesia or recover from surgery.
