President Donald Trump described two children of the imprisoned reality TV Todi and Julie Chrisley from the Oval Office on Tuesday, and informed them of his plans to pardon their parents on Wednesday.
The couple, known for their roles in the “Chrisley Leaffer Best”, sought pardon from Trump in February after being convicted of getting rid of banks of tens of millions of dollars in 2022, previously reported.
One of the judge issued a 12 -year prison sentence for Chrisley and seven years to his wife, Jolly Chrisley, in November 2022, after being found by a jury in Atlanta with guilt, tax evasion and conspiracy to defraud the United States after a weekly trial.
A White House official told NBC News that Trump would sign the pardon as soon as they are ready – most likely within 24 hours.
Trump announced his plans to pardon the spouses in a phone call made by two of their children, Safana and Graceon Chrisley.
Trump told two of their children, Savana and Graceon Chrisley, in a phone call to pardon the spouses.
“It is a terrible thing, but it is great because your parents will be free and clean.” Trump said during the phone call. “We will try to accomplish it tomorrow, so I give them – I do not know them – but I give them my regards and I wish them success. I wish them a good life.”
Gresson Chrisley replied, “Mr. President, I just want to say thank you for returning my father.”
White House spokesman Harrison Fields said in a statement that Trump “is always happy to give Americans who calm well a second chance, especially those who have been targeted unfairly and excessively trial by an unfair judicial system.”
“President Trump Savana and her brother from the Oval Office called to inform them personally that he would pardon their parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, whose sanctions were very harsh,” said Fields.
