The United States prevailed over Switzerland 1-0 in the extra time of the World Ice Championship final on Sunday.
The team accepted the championship cup while keeping it Johnny Godro No. 13Honoring the beloved hockey player who was afflicted by a car and KillMatthew, while they were riding their bicycles in New Jersey in August 2024.
The United States of America says it is the second cup that the Americans won in the championship after its victory in 1933.

Tage Thompson dealt with the Leonardo Genoni goalkeeper from the top of the 2:02 winner in additional time with the fortieth shot on the goal.
Logan Cole and Brady Sketji provided aid and goalkeeper Jeremy Sweiman closed the Swiss with 25 saved.
The Americans also won the title in 1960 when they won the Olympic Championship and did not complete the worlds.
The bronze medal for Sweden
Michael Bacadend and Marcus Johansson scored two goals each, as Sweden beat Denmark 6-2 to take the bronze medal early on Sunday.
This was the third consecutive place in Sweden, while the fourth place was the best result ever for Denmark.
Lucas Raymond and Mika Zebiangad scored the winners while Nick Olsen and Nicolage Ilters scored in Denmark.
