On Wednesday, the army began preparing to ship the Abrams tanks from its base in Fort Cavazos, to Washington, DC, to participate in its 250th birthday procession along the National Commercial Center on June 14, with the loads of the tanks on board the trains that will leave later this month.
In all, 28 M1A1 Abrams Stanks will be sent to participate in the offer.
The celebration of the 250 army, which also occurred on President Donald Trump’s birthday, led to speculation that Trump was using the event to obtain a kind of great military parade that he sought in his first term. This event was canceled, when cost estimates amounted to $ 90 million.

The officials said that heavy equipment will be organized in the West Potomac Park in Washington before the show, which will follow Al -Dustour Street and end near the White House, where umbrellas with the Golden Army knights will jump into the missing pieces.

The army said it was expected to spend anywhere from $ 25 million to $ 45 million in the events of this year, although it is expected that the final number will be much higher when other costs are placed. The American Secret Service has identified the event “a special event for national security” similar to Super Bowl or a presidential opening, and requires major security resources. The Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior did not issue an appreciation of the cost to secure the event.
