Twelve years have passed since the Apple IOS 7 is redesigned away from its Skeuomorphic roots, the company appears to be on the right path to repair the visual identity of the iPhone but also Mac and iPad as well.
Bomb report from Bloomberg Mark Gourman claims that Apple is working to unify the appearance of iOS/iPad and MacOS. This includes new icons, menus, windows, and more. The report claims that the company is not only suitable for how things look, but also explore ways to simplify its applications and operating system.
The main driving force is said to match the aesthetic with Vision Pro. People speculated this for a period of time, especially since the Invites app has a different design compared to other iOS applications at the first end.
The report says that Apple expects sales about the new operating system, but I will be skeptical unless the retail stores are locked up to the latest programs. And since it corresponds to many of its devices to support the Apple intelligence at least, I expect, at least, that all of these devices will work with the new system. However, even then, I think it would be crazy for Apple to reach a new Visual iOS update from old devices.
Currently, Apple Alan Dye, which designed the Apple Watch program under the return of Johnny Ivee a day. Now, Dye runs a team of 300 people responsible for all Apple programs.
Apple started a pleasant fun design in 2008, then it was redesigned to be deliberate and included bold colors in 2013. Apple has slightly updated and modified it in this design on an annual basis, but it is still adhering to a lot of basic design spirit, even if it changed inside the applications and a lot of application icons since then. It can be said, the last large redesign redesign was in 2019, when the company added the dark mode to the operating system.
When a step back, Apple appears to have put up some forms of upgrade iOS every six years, putting us in another year of upgrade in 2025/2026. So these rumors seem to line up with the Apple upgrade path in the past.
Although I was a fan of how the program appears on Vision Pro, I am concerned that removing colors and backgrounds from the equation on Mac and iPhone may make the interface look a little boring. However, I was using third -party icons often on my iPhone because I am bored of Apple.
