On Monday, the Supreme Court allowed the Trump administration to end the temporary protected situation of about 350,000 Veneers who were protected from deportation and allowed them to work in the United States.
The court approved the emergency request for the administration to raise the minimum court order, which prevented it from ending protection, while continuing other legal procedures.
In their request to the Supreme Court, lawyers who represent the government said that the US District Court of the Northern California region undermined “the authorities inherent in the executive branch regarding migration and foreign affairs”, when the administration stopped ending protection and work permits in April 2025 instead of original date in October 2026.
Ahilan Arnathham, who represents TPS in the case, said he believes that this is “the largest work that strives any group of non -citizens of immigration situation in the history of the modern United States.”
“This is the largest action that strives any group of non -citizens of the state of migration in the modern history of the United States. The Supreme Court allowed this procedure by order of two paragraphs without a truly shock.” “The humanitarian and economic effects of the court’s decision will be felt immediately, and it will resonate for generations.”
