Joe and Jelly Biden said on Monday that they are thankful to the “love and support” they have received since the former president’s office announced the diagnosis of cancer on Sunday.
“Cancer touches us all,” said the couple in a post on the account of the social media. “Like many of you, I and I learned that we are stronger in broken places. Thank you for raising love and support.”
Biden’s office said on Sunday that he was diagnosed on Friday with prostate cancer, saying that although it was “a more aggressive form of the disease, it seems that the cancer is sensitive to hormones that allows effective management.”
“The president and his family are reviewing treatment options with his doctors,” the statement said on Sunday.
